As all hardcore Crash Bandicoot fans know, This 2016 will be Crash’s 20th Anniversary (Man, I’m getting old). And for years, everyone at the Crash community has been waiting for a release of a new Crash game. Since latest Crash games, didn’t do much justice to him especially to old school Crash fans, everyone is eager for the next game. The last game to be developed was back in 2010 with Crash Nitro Kart 2 for the iPhone. Six years have passed, will we still have a Crash game? Well, let’s see!

After months (probably years) of teasing Crash, it was officially announced during the E3 2016 press conference that Activision, who currently has the rights to Crash, is doing a ‘from the ground up’ remaster of the iconic Crash Bandicoot trilogy, namely: Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot: Cortex Strikes Back and Crash Bandicoot Warped.

Besides the remasters, Sony also announced that Crash will also be appearing in the upcoming game, Skylanders Imaginators.

As a long time Crash Bandicoot fan, I’m excited to see how this goes especially to how new gamers will respond to this game. I have high hopes for these games especially because it is Crash’s 20th Anniversary. But with Activision holding the project?? hmm… Let’s just see what will happen. Will they give it a 360 degree turn to appeal to young gamers?? OR, will they stick to the classic formula that old school gamers love? Who knows?
